WHAT WOOD DO YOU USE? Pine, spruce, walnut and padauk. Which one depends on the piece and on what the grain suits. IS THE FINISH SAFE FOR CHILDREN? Yes. We finish everything with child-safe paints and oils. Wooden toys end up in mouths and we choose our finishes accordingly. WHAT AGES ARE THESE FOR? Our pieces are made for children aged 3 to 5. If you tell us the child's age when you order, we will tell you honestly whether a piece suits them. DO YOU TAKE CUSTOM ORDERS? Yes. HOW LONG WILL MY ORDER TAKE? Everything is made to order, so allow 2 to 4 weeks before it ships, then 2 to 4 business days for delivery. Personalized pieces take no extra time. ARE YOUR TOYS REALLY MADE BY HAND? Yes. Everything is cut, sanded and finished by us in our workshop in Granite Falls, North Carolina. Nothing is imported or resold. WILL MY ITEM LOOK EXACTLY LIKE THE PHOTO? Very close, but not identical. Wood grain varies from board to board, and each piece is finished by hand. That variation is part of what you are buying. HOW DO I CARE FOR A WOODEN TOY? Rub the piece down with oil from time to time and it will keep its finish for years. Puzzles need nothing at all. Wipe with a damp cloth and dry it, and never soak a wooden toy or put it in a dishwasher. DO YOU SELL WHOLESALE? Yes.
